Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The total number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Eastern Province reached around 141,000 until the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023, Governor of Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) Sami Alhussaini stated.

In a discussion session during the Commercial Forum 2024, titled ‘Future of Business’, Alhussaini revealed that the total amount of facilities provided to SMEs recorded around SAR 268 billion by the end of Q3-23, representing 8.7% of the total financing.

Asharqia Chamber hosts the Commercial Forum 2024 today with the participation of several experts and specialists in the commercial sector. The forum aims to enhance the private sector’s role as a key partner in the national economy and provide a forward-looking reading about the commercial sector in the Kingdom in general and in the Eastern Province in particular.

Monsha’at participates in the forum as a strategic partner and aims to showcase collaborations to support economic and commercial sectors, in addition to enhancing cooperation between concerned entities and entrepreneurs in the province.

The Commercial Forum 2024 targets exploring investment opportunities available in the commercial sector and highlighting the latest regulatory and procedural developments in the sector.
