
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology unveiled the Inclusive AI Initiative for Growth and Development which aims to develop solutions for artificial intelligence (AI) access and adoption, a recent statement revealed.
The ministry launched the initiative in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF) after joining the AI Global Alliance (AIGA).
The initiative aims to build an inclusive AI, achieve AI governance and foster inclusive development to meet society's needs, and enhance the cooperation between public and private sectors to facilitate access to AI technology and educational resources in remote areas.
The new initiative will focus on providing functional data, creating more jobs across various sectors, and empowering entrepreneurship through qualifying and upskilling talents in different fields.
Furthermore, the initiative targets creating AI applications that contribute to increasing individuals' productivity.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia joined the AIGA during the WEF Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development which took place in the Saudi capital on 28 and 29 April.
