Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) concluded a deal to allocate 11,000 square meters of land in Jeddah's Third Industrial City for Medical Waste Treatment Company (Wazeen), the authority announced in a statement.
Wazeen will establish an advanced facility for medical hazardous waste treatments with investments exceeding SAR 28 million (around $7.5 million).
Wazeen is a subsidiary of the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) that specializes in managing hazardous medical waste. It was founded in 2022 to develop, operate, and finance various activities focused on medical hazardous waste (MHW) and upgrade medical waste solutions.
SIRC, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), aims to develop, own, operate, and finance various activities across all waste types in Saudi Arabia, in conjunction with Vision 2030’s objectives.
