Hyma Plastic became the exclusive manufacturer and distributer of iyris' award-winning SecondSky Greenhouse product in Egypt

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: iyris, the innovative agriclimate tech company formerly known as RedSea, forged a strategic partnership with Hyma Plastic, the market leader of agricultural polyethylene film products in Egypt.

iyris and Hyma Plastic signed a manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreement whereby the Egyptian company will be the exclusive manufacturing, and distribution partner of iyris’ award-winning SecondSky greenhouse covers in Egypt, a recent statement unveiled.

SecondSky AGRI greenhouse films can block near-infrared heat radiation, extend the growing season, and reduce energy and water consumption by over 30%.

Simon Stockil, iyris’ Growth Director in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), said: “This agreement and partnership secure an accelerated deployment of SecondSky AGRI greenhouse films to growers and farmers across Egypt and aligns with our mission to provide relevant, scalable, sustainable solutions to address the unique challenges faced by farmers in hot climates.”

Commenting on the agreement, Aly Fahmy, Deputy CEO of Hyma Plastic, stated that adding globally recognized heat-blocking technology to the company’s AGRI product portfolio is crucial to help customers who suffer from major heat stress in their greenhouses.

“Our business strives to be at the leading edge of innovation when it comes to the product portfolio we offer, and in SecondSky we know the simplicity of deployment conceals a highly innovative drop-in solution,” Fahmy concluded.
