VUNO plans to provide its AI diagnostic tool, VUNO Med-DeepBrain, to Seha Virtual Hospital operated by Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Korean medical AI company VUNO announced officially partaking in Saudi Arabia's "Regulatory Healthcare Sandbox," a digital healthcare initiative aligned with the kingdom's broader economic diversification efforts.

To mark VUNO's official inclusion in the Healthcare Sandbox, the Saudi Ministry of Health held a celebratory event at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, which was held from 21 to 23 October.

The project, part of the "Saudi Vision 2030," seeks to reduce the country’s dependence on oil and expand growth in sectors such as healthcare, education, and tourism.

Launched by the Saudi government, the initiative includes a $65 billion investment in healthcare aimed at modernizing the nation's medical infrastructure. The Healthcare Sandbox is designed to foster innovation in digital healthcare, creating a platform where companies can collaborate with local institutions and develop cutting-edge technologies.

Kim Joon-hong, chief financial officer at VUNO, said that talks about the company’s involvement in the project began earlier this year. He added: "As part of Saudi Arabia’s national strategy, we’re committed to providing high-quality AI solutions and exploring further partnerships to help build an advanced digital healthcare ecosystem."

VUNO plans to provide its AI diagnostic tool, VUNO Med-DeepBrain, to Seha Virtual Hospital, the world’s largest virtual healthcare provider, recognized by Guinness World Records and operated by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health.

The company also aims to expand its portfolio in the region, introducing products such as VUNO Med-DeepCARS, an AI-based cardiac arrest monitoring system, and the Hativ P30, a home-use electrocardiogram device.
