Saudi fintech startup ProBuy offers flexible financial options to empower SMEs

Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: ProBuy, a fintech startup based in Saudi Arabia, forged partnerships with several entities during Biban 2024, the Kingdom’s flagship event for startups and entrepreneurs, Co-founder Ibrahim Abuljadayel stated in an interview with Sharikat Mubasher.

Abuljadayel elaborated that the ProBuy platform provides flexible financial solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to help them manage their payments easily and swiftly.

The platform also links SMEs with suppliers to facilitate their procurement payments and liquidity accessibility, Abuljadayel added. He elaborated that ProBuy enables SMEs to access affordable finance, compared to banks and other financing institutions.  

The Co-founder affirmed that Biban 2024 represents a unique opportunity for SMEs and large entities as it gathers local and global experts across various sectors.

Founded in 2023, ProBuy provides innovative products tailored to fulfill the unique financial needs of SMEs. It offers flexible payment terms, ensuring that small businesses have the financial freedom to grow and manage their liquidity.

Biban 2024, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), convened in Riyadh from 5 to 9 November, with the participation of more than 1,350 local and international exhibitors, over 250 speakers, and more than 150 enablement entities from around the world.

It targeted creating a stimulating environment, raising administrative, financial, and technical competencies, and motivating the owners of ideas to launch their projects by allowing them to meet with local and global experts and share knowledge with key decision-makers and investors.

The event focused on empowering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Saudi Arabia through nine doors: Enablement Door, Fast-growing Enterprises Door, Funding and Investment Door, Startup Door, Innovation Door, E-commerce Door, Franchise Door, Market Door, and Start Door.

Saudi Energy to deliver power infrastructure to Expo 2030 Riyadh site
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Energy signed a Power Supply and Implementation Agreement with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), to deliver the power infrastructure required across the Expo 2030 Riyadh site.The agreement was signed by Khalid AlGhamdi, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Energy, and Talal Al-Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Expo 2030 Riyadh, according to the official statement,The deal aims to establish the electrical infrastructure required to meet the power demands of Expo 2030 Riyadh. This includes the construction of a bulk supply point, three primary substations, and all associated transmission and distribution infrastructure.Leading Saudi companies, including Alfanar, Haif Company, Trading and Development Partnership, and Al-Babtain Power & Telecom Company, will support the execution of these worksAlGhamdi highlighted that the agreement reflects the critical role of Saudi Energy in supporting major national projects by developing a reliable and highly efficient power infrastructure.He emphasized that Saudi Energy will deploy its capabilities and expertise to execute Expo 2030 Riyadh’s electric supply requirements to the highest standards of quality and operational performance, supporting the readiness of this global event and aligning with the Kingdom’s development goals.For his part, Al-Marri said: “The agreement marks another important milestone, reflecting the accelerated progress across the various workstreams underway on site and reinforcing its readiness in line with the established delivery schedule.”He noted that the partnership with leading Saudi national companies reflects confidence in local capabilities and expertise, and their ability to deliver projects of this scale and ambition in line with the highest technical and operational standards. Moreover, the agreement marks a significant step toward securing the critical utility requirements of Expo 2030 Riyadh and enabling the timely development and successful opening of the event.
