Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Turky Kari, Executive Director of Marketing Communications at Cruise Saudi stated that the company launched the first cruise line in the Kingdom in December under the name "Aroya Cruise."
In an exclusive interview with Sharikat Mubasher during the Saudi Tourism Forum 2025, he added that the company currently operates its cruises in the Red Sea and is considering further expansion in the future to offer trips in the Arabian Gulf.
Kari clarified that "Aroya Cruise" is a maritime travel line inspired by Arab heritage, with international standards, offering Saudi restaurants and entertainment activities on its ships alongside global dining options.
The "Aroya Cruise" line also includes a children's entertainment area, as well as a commercial zone that is one of the largest on cruise lines globally.
Kari pointed out that the company targets to serve Saudi and Arab tourists at sea, offering affordable options to all travelers, through collaboration with all relevant Saudi authorities in this sector.
He also mentioned that the company has launched a private island in the Red Sea, that is only accessible via its cruise line. It also operates trips to Sharm El-Sheikh and Aqaba as part of the Winter Season events organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority.
AROYA Cruises officially launched in June 2023 as a separate business unit of Cruise Saudi; a business fully owned by the Public Investment Fund. This premium cruise line runs with an independent operational and management team based in Jeddah.
Launched in line with Vision 2030 and Saudi Arabia’s plan to become one of the top global tourism destinations by 2030, AROYA Cruises aims to provide exceptional all-year-round experiences tailored to Saudi and GCC nationals and residents.
Notably, the Saudi Tourism Forum in its 3rd edition is running from 7 to 9 January at the Roshn Front, Riyadh, and is expected to welcome over 100 exhibitors offering a thriving platform to explore the latest developments, showcase key investment projects, and foster skill development and partnerships to drive the growth of the tourism sector.
