Mabaat, the leading company in the tourism accommodation sector, plans to expand into hotel management sector soon

Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Mabaat, Saudi Arabia’s leading short-term rental property management company, plans to enter the hotel management sector soon, aligning with the Kingdom’s efforts to transform the tourism sector, CEO Naif Sabiq stated in an interview with Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of the third edition of the Saudi Tourism Forum (STF).

Sabiq revealed that Mabaat will launch its electronic platform during the forum, with plans to introduce self-check-in services following approval from the Ministry of Tourism.

He noted that Mabaat participated in the STF to showcase its services, following its recent acquisition by Scene Holding Company.

On the second day of the STF, Scene Holding announced acquiring a strategic stake in Mabaat in a move to enhance innovation, drive growth, and expand services to accommodate guests during major global events such as the Asian Cup, the Olympics, the World Cup, and Expo 2030.

Sabiq also emphasized the Ministry of Tourism’s efforts to transform the sector and elevate visitor experiences by adhering to world-class standards.

Established in 2020, Mabaat specializes in managing luxury properties for private owners in prime locations such as Jeddah, Riyadh, and Alhada.

The Saudi Tourism Forum 2025 took place in Riyadh from 7 to 9 January with the participation of over 100 exhibitors and more than 40 global speakers. It featured over 1,000 meetings and workshops and welcomed more than 450 leading brands in the tourism sector.

The forum served as a dynamic platform to explore the latest developments, showcase key investment projects, and foster skill development and partnerships to drive the growth of the tourism sector.

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: LEAP tech conference kicked off its 2026 edition today, with Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, announcing that this year's event would deliver "massive announcements" across the artificial intelligence and technology sectors.Al-Swaha also indicated that LEAP 2026 would see investment commitments exceeding $15 billion, underscoring the Kingdom's continued push to position itself as a global AI and tech investment hub.Al-Swaha added that Saudi Arabia has maintained its position among the world’s top countries in digital advancement and technology leadership despite global challenges.He highlighted the rapid growth of the Kingdom’s digital economy by 70%, describing it as one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing digital economies.Al-Swaha also said Saudi Arabia has produced nine unicorn companies, each with a market valuation exceeding $1 billion, with the number continuing to rise.The Kingdom’s technology workforce has also reached 411,000, which Al-Swaha said would rank Saudi Arabia as the fifth-largest technology hub if compared with the 50 US states.Meanwhile, women’s participation and empowerment in the technology sector has reached between 35% and 36%, underscoring the sector’s expanding role in creating opportunities and supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation.The main stage agenda for Day One, themed "Building the Age of AI, Smart Networks, and Investing in the Future," opened with the minister's keynote, followed by special announcements from HUMAIN under CEO Tareq Amin.The fifth edition of LEAP 2026 runs from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for technology and innovation.The Conference is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf, backed by Informa and the Events Investment Fund.

HUMAIN, AMD unveil ‘AI in a Box’ in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: AMD and PIF-owned AI company HUMAIN launched a new “AI in a Box” solution to help enterprises across Saudi Arabia deploy artificial intelligence more easily.As announced on the sidelines of LEAP 2026, the turnkey solution is designed for entry-level AI use cases across industries including oil and gas, financial services, and manufacturing. Built by HUMAIN, it leverages AMD Instinct GPUs and energy-efficient AMD EPYC CPUs to enable organizations to deploy AI, test new applications, and expand access to AI tools among employees.Lisa Su, AMD chair and CEO, said the collaboration with HUMAIN aims to make high-performance computing more accessible to businesses of different sizes, supporting innovation and growth in the AI era.Meanwhile, Tareq Amin, HUMAIN CEO, said the solution is designed to help enterprises begin with individual AI workloads, demonstrate their value, and scale toward larger deployments without initially requiring hyperscale infrastructure.This stride builds on AMD and HUMAIN’s strategic collaboration, which includes plans to invest up to $10 billion in AI infrastructure initiatives.
