Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The fourth edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), the world’s premier minerals gathering, kicked off today in Riyadh under the theme ‘Year of Impact’, featuring 250 influential speakers, including CEOs of the top 11 global mining companies and other industry leaders.
The event hosted the fourth Ministerial Roundtable meeting that gathered government representatives from 90 countries, including 16 G20 nations, 50 international organizations, NGOs, and global leaders in the mining industry.
Running until 16 January, FMF 2025 features an exceptional lineup of speakers and panelists who will share their knowledge, insight, and actionable solutions to critical mineral problems.
The agenda of FMF 2025 features a new Thought Leadership Roundtable; a unique gathering of ministers, CEOs, and experts proposing solutions to challenges including investment, infrastructure, value addition, and processing hub creation.
For the first time, FMF 2025 will host Leadership Roundtables focused on Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America, covering supplier countries to build closer links and speak with one voice. Additionally, it features two Great Debates focusing on minerals-led development and investor priorities.
The first day of FMF 2025 will spotlight Women in Mining, an initiative launched to promote gender equality and attract more Saudi women into the mining sector. It also focuses on creating opportunities and programs to empower women in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.
The FMF aims to enable the development of resilient and responsible minerals and metals industries in Africa, West and Central Asia, and other host countries by attracting investment, deploying digital and other advanced technologies, and applying high standards for sustainability performance.
