
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will host a regular high-profile World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Meeting in Riyadh starting Spring 2026, in partnership with the WEF, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim announced during the 2025 WEF Annual Meeting in Davos.
In his speech, Alibrahim said: “This is a testament to the global platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation that Saudi Arabia has become and that the WEF continues to be."
He noted that the meeting represents a significant opportunity to further unite the world in capturing the immense potential that lies ahead. “We look forward to welcoming the global community again in Saudi Arabia this spring in 2026."
The WEF Annual Meeting 2025 convened from 20 to 24 January, gathering global leaders to address global and regional challenges. These included responding to geopolitical shocks, stimulating growth to improve living standards, and stewarding a just and inclusive energy transition.
Throughout the meeting, the Saudi delegation emphasized the importance of doubling down on global collaboration to bring more cohesion and unity to a fragmented world, as well as the need to rewrite the global economic playbook, steer sustainable transitions, and drive disruptive innovation to unlock human potential.
