Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Abdullah Alserhani, Founder and CEO of Alareeb ICT told Sharikat Mubasher that the company introduced a revolutionary idea to the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) to run and manage poultry farms using advanced techs like the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI. 

On the sidelines of the LEAP 2025 Conference, which is taking place at Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre, Malham, Alserhani added that the NTDP backed the project with 50% finance, which resulted in the implementation of a smart farm in cooperation with a major poultry producer that provides 5% of the national poultry production.
The CEO explained that this smart AI-powered system hugely contributes to the effective management of poultry farms, avoiding high costs caused by humans. The system helps monitor farms through planted sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, CO2 rates, fodder flow, and water pumps, in addition to taking images of the farm to assess how healthy the environment is. This helps reduce operational costs and avoid exposure of the farm to outer pollutants. 

Alserhani expressed his optimism that this system can be widely deployed abroad leading the company to become a strong rival among competitors since being one of very few players to develop such a smart farming system. Alserhani asserted that this system is entirely made by Saudi engineers, adding that it shall benefit both poultry producers and consumers for a higher quality of poultry products.
