Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: In an interview with Sharikat Mubasher during the LEAP 2025 Conference, Fahad Alhalkook, Regional Trainer - Central region at Honor KSA said that Honor was an affiliated brand under Huawei before splitting up and operating on its own in 2021, offering its flagship mobile phones across the Kingdom.
Alhalkook added that Honor now owns 18 maintenance and training centers, in addition to 11 branches distributed all over Saudi Arabia.
Speaking of AI techs, Alhalkook said that Honor was the first to introduce the Magic Portal feature at LEAP 2024, which is an intent-based shortcut recommendation feature that lets users seamlessly switch and access services between apps and devices with a single swipe.
Building on last year’s success, Honor came back to LEAP 2025 with a new feature, the ‘AI Fake’, which analyzes facial features and detects if the caller is a real person or a fake AI-generated image. Moreover, the company introduced the ‘AI Translate’ feature which enables users to translate live conversations on the spot.
Alhalkook thinks that AI techs cannot replace humans as people might think, but can rather act as their personal assistants.
