
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The seventh edition of the Al Ahsa Forum concluded successfully with significant announcements, marking the end of a dynamic gathering that brought together ministers, senior officials, experts, CEOs of local and global companies, and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities and challenges in the Al-Ahsa governorate.
Al Ahsa Forum 2025 presented 59 investment opportunities in the governorate with investments totaling SAR 50 billion and witnessed the signing of 29 cooperation agreements aimed at developing Al-Ahsa, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Key announcements during the forum included the launch of an industrial accelerator in Al Ahsa and the integration of Al Ahsa region into the “Invest in Saudi” platform, a digital initiative that provides investors with streamlined access to projects, advisory services, and insights into the country’s business climate.
Additionally, 183 foreign investment licenses were issued, attracting investments worth SAR 2.5 billion. The forum highlighted that Al-Ahsa’s contribution to the national non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) surged from SAR 73 billion to SAR 105 billion.
Organized by the Al Ahsa Chamber in collaboration with Al Ahsa Development Authority and Aramco, Al Ahsa Forum 2025 welcomed over 9,500 attendees and witnessed the participation of 65 speakers, 38 enabling entities, and 12 South Korean firms. On the sidelines of the event, Saudi and Korean firms held more than 30 business meetings to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new investment opportunities.
The forum’s agenda included 10 panel sessions and 10 workshops, covering crucial sectors such as tourism, real estate development, transportation and logistics, energy, agriculture, industry, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence (AI), investment, and governance.
One of the most significant announcements was related to the Jafurah unconventional gas project, which is expected to attract SAR 100 billion in investments and increase gas production by over 60% within the next five years.
It is worth noting that the tourism and hospitality sectors in the Al Ahsa governorate saw a 52% growth in 2024, with tourists spending over SAR 3.3 billion.
With these achievements, Al-Ahsa Forum 2025 has further solidified its position as a premier platform for investment and economic development, paving the way for continued growth and strategic partnerships in the years ahead.
