Stc pacts with Telenor IoT to empower IoT in Saudi Arabia

Stc pacts signed a framework agreement with Telenor IoT to empower IoT in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Company (Stc) signed a framework agreement with Telenor IoT, one of the world’s major mobile operators, to provide management of IoT connectivity services in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed during Capacity Middle East, a leading telecommunications conference in Dubai, a recent statement revealed.

This partnership will allow Telenor IoT customers, including truck, excavator, and passenger car manufacturers, to seamlessly manage IoT connectivity from Stc through Telenor IoT management interfaces.

Commenting on the partnership, Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion and Head of Telenor IoT, said: “This collaboration will enable us to support the growing demand for connected devices and services in the Middle East while empowering our customers with the flexibility and reliability they need to succeed in the global market.”

For his part, Mohammed Alabbadi, Group Chief Carrier and Wholesale Officer at Stc Group, commented: “By combining Telenor IoT’s capabilities in global IoT connectivity with Stc Group’s digital leadership and in-depth IoT expertise, we are unlocking new opportunities for innovation and accelerating IoT adoption and integration across key industries in the Kingdom.” 

Telenor IoT manages international IoT deployments for global customers in 200 countries and today operates more than 25 million connected devices to enterprises such as Volvo, Scania, Hitachi, Verisure, and Husqvarna.
