
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia maintained a steady pace in issuing new commercial registrations, reinforcing its commitment to fostering a dynamic and investor-friendly business environment. With ongoing reforms to simplify procedures and encourage entrepreneurship, the Kingdom remains an attractive destination for local and foreign investors.
The Saudi Ministry of Commerce issued 156,638 registrations during the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, up 32.7% from 104,000 registrations in Q1-24, the ministry announced in a recent report.
Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province accounted for 71% of the total registrations issued in Q1-25; Riyadh captured 60,016 registrations, followed by Makkah with 26,349 registrations and the Eastern Province with 24,778 registrations. Female-owned organizations secured 45% of the total commercial registrations issued in Q1-25.
Additionally, the report revealed that the total number of existing commercial registrations in the Kingdom exceeded 1.68 million in Q1-25, signaling a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) 4.5% increase.
Female-owned organizations obtained 47% of the total existing registrations, while male-owned organizations represented 38% of the total number.
Riyadh province led the list with 568,997 registrations, followed by Makkah and the Eastern provinces with 357.343 registrations and 263,328 registrations, respectively.
