Sika Group unveils strategic expansions in Saudi Arabia

Sika Group is set to establish a manufacturing facility in Sudair Industrial City and open new office in Neom to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Sika Group, a leading global provider of construction chemicals solutions, is pursuing an ambitious strategy to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, according to Abdullah Al-Huwaidi, Sika’s Director for the Middle East.

Speaking to Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of the Saudi Food Manufacturing Exhibition 2025, Al-Huwaidi revealed that the strategy involves establishing a new manufacturing facility in Sudair Industrial and Business City and opening an office in Neom.

He emphasized Sika’s commitment to industrial localization and relying on Saudi talent to drive growth. With over 30 years of operations in Saudi Arabia, Sika currently runs multiple manufacturing facilities and offices in Rabigh, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Founded by Kaspar Winkler in 1910, Sika is a specialty chemicals company that holds a leading position in developing and producing systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection in the building sector and industrial manufacturing.

The second edition of the Saudi Food Manufacturing Exhibition takes place from 13 to 15 April with the participation of over 550 exhibitors from more than 70 countries. It gathers the global F&B community to make tangible business connections, as the Kingdom continues to enhance its position as a regional leader in the F&B industry.

Moreover, the exhibition features the latest innovations and technologies in the F&B manufacturing sector, offering international experts and specialists the chance to explore best practices and opportunities for industry advancement.

Saudi Energy to deliver power infrastructure to Expo 2030 Riyadh site
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Energy signed a Power Supply and Implementation Agreement with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), to deliver the power infrastructure required across the Expo 2030 Riyadh site.The agreement was signed by Khalid AlGhamdi, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Energy, and Talal Al-Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Expo 2030 Riyadh, according to the official statement,The deal aims to establish the electrical infrastructure required to meet the power demands of Expo 2030 Riyadh. This includes the construction of a bulk supply point, three primary substations, and all associated transmission and distribution infrastructure.Leading Saudi companies, including Alfanar, Haif Company, Trading and Development Partnership, and Al-Babtain Power & Telecom Company, will support the execution of these worksAlGhamdi highlighted that the agreement reflects the critical role of Saudi Energy in supporting major national projects by developing a reliable and highly efficient power infrastructure.He emphasized that Saudi Energy will deploy its capabilities and expertise to execute Expo 2030 Riyadh’s electric supply requirements to the highest standards of quality and operational performance, supporting the readiness of this global event and aligning with the Kingdom’s development goals.For his part, Al-Marri said: “The agreement marks another important milestone, reflecting the accelerated progress across the various workstreams underway on site and reinforcing its readiness in line with the established delivery schedule.”He noted that the partnership with leading Saudi national companies reflects confidence in local capabilities and expertise, and their ability to deliver projects of this scale and ambition in line with the highest technical and operational standards. Moreover, the agreement marks a significant step toward securing the critical utility requirements of Expo 2030 Riyadh and enabling the timely development and successful opening of the event.
