Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: Bloomspoon, a Dubai-based startup known for its plantable cutlery, secured an AED 800,000 investment on Shark Tank Dubai Season 3, in exchange for 49% equity.
The deal was made with Toufic Kreidieh, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the BFL Group, one of the region’s leading retail companies, according to a recent press release.
Bloomspoon’s reusable utensils, made from wheat straw and embedded with water-soluble seed capsules, can be planted after use to grow herbs like basil or mint, offering a unique twist on single-use sustainability.
The deal marks a major milestone for Bloomspoon, which has already garnered media attention from Forbes Middle East, The Weather Channel, and Dubai One TV. With its Shark Tank exposure and retail backing, the startup plans to expand its product range, grow its retail footprint, and pursue B Corp certification.
Founded in Dubai, Bloomspoon is a purpose-driven startup pioneering the world’s first plantable cutlery and a range of sustainable, reusable everyday products. Designed to grow change from the inside out, Bloomspoon turns simple moments into green actions, redefining what it means to use and reuse.
