
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Small and Medium Enterprises Loan Guarantee Program (Kafalah) provided SAR 85.4 billion in total guarantees for SMEs during the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, according to a recent report released by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at).
The report showed that the total products and initiatives launched by the Kafalah program surpassed SAR 120 billion in Q2-25. At the same time, the number of SMEs that have benefited from the program since its inception reached 25,801.
Almost 7.8% of SMEs participating in the program went from micro- to small-sized businesses, while 3.9% of participating enterprises went from small- to medium-sized businesses.
Kafalah beneficiaries also demonstrated considerable progress in Saudization rates across all sizes, with micro-sized businesses witnessing the fastest pace of growth in hiring locally.
