
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) launched a series of initiatives to support entrepreneurs and startups in the cybersecurity sector under its new “Cybersecurity Entrepreneurship Program.”
The program aims to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity ecosystem, enable startup growth, attract quality investments, and increase the contribution of local content in the sector, according to a press release by the NCA.
The initiatives include the ‘Cybersecurity Startup Hackathon, Cybersecurity Startup Growth Expansion, Cybersecurity Accelerator, and Cyber Innovation Program.’ These efforts are designed to create a competitive and investment-friendly environment, help establish national cybersecurity firms, and support high-potential startups as part of the Kingdom’s economic diversification and sustainability goals.
According to the authority, the initiatives focus on accelerating the growth of cybersecurity startups by providing comprehensive support, including guidance on business expansion and sector-specific strategies. This approach aims to stimulate local industry, foster innovation, and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s economic development.
The program adopts an inclusive and sustainable model, covering the entire entrepreneurship journey from transforming creative ideas into viable ventures to securing funding, developing policies, and building governance frameworks that support long-term growth. It also seeks to create impactful solutions to current and future cybersecurity challenges while reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the field.
