
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia hosts the Global Industrial Internet of Things Summit (GIITS) from 20 to 21 November, with the participation of more than 60 exhibitors and over 20 speakers.
The GIITS gathers all stakeholders in the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), including regulators, manufacturers, technology providers, and end-users to build a community of experts to resolve industrial challenges in new and innovative ways.
The GIITS showcases the latest technological advancements across a wide range of industrial sectors and explores IIoT technologies to support the industrial value chain.
Taking place at Dhahran Expo Center, the summit aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of cutting-edge innovative IIoT technologies and transform the industrial sector by enabling smarter, more efficient, and data-driven decisions.
In addition, the summit aims to create an ecosystem to develop and adopt IIoT technologies in the region and unlock its potential to open new pathways for the industrial sector to achieve smarter operations and data-driven decisions.

During the first day of GIITS, Wail Al-Jaafari, Executive Vice President for Technical Services at Saudi Aramco, showcased the company’s efforts to adopt and integrate IIoT technologies into its business infrastructure.
The agenda of GIITS’ second day includes several panel sessions to discuss various topics, including IIoT supply chain and local content, navigating IIoT integration and cybersecurity challenges, and IIoT standardization.
