Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, stated that the approval of the Gulf Unified Tourist Visa will unlock new investment opportunities in the tourism sector in all GCC countries.
Al Khateeb noted that the unified visa will facilitate the free movement of tourists and visitors between the six Gulf countries and boost the role of tourism in driving economic growth, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Gulf Unified Tourist Visa project was approved during the GCC’s 44th Supreme Council Summit that took place in Doha.
The unified GCC visa will make travel to all six Gulf countries easier for tourists, working similarly to the Schengen visa in Europe, which allows holders to enter all 27 member countries using the same permit.
