Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi startup Monak E-services triumphed at the third regional finals of the Fintech World Cup among 11 shortlisted startups, according to a recent statement.

The Fintech World Cup, organized by Dubai Fintech Summit in collaboration with Trescon at the Date Fintech Show, will secure up to $1 million in funding for the winner.

Monak E-Services is a migrant fintech startup that offers financial inclusion and life services to workers in the Middle East through a partnered network.

Being the largest fintech pitch competition in the world, the Fintech World Cup provides fintech entrepreneurs with a platform to exhibit transformative innovations reshaping the industry at the Dubai Fintech Summit held in Dubai in 2024.

Mazen Mostafa Abdel Aziz, Head of Partnerships at Monak E-Services, commented: “It really matters to us to be a part of a stage where global juries and investors believe in our social mission and vision.”

Date Fintech Show, the largest and most impactful fintech conference and expo in Saudi Arabia, took place in Riyadh from 11 to 12 December to showcase the latest challenges and technology trends in the Saudi financial services sector.

It connected global fintech innovators with enterprises, investors, policymakers, government authorities, and collaborators to redefine and re-energize financial services by adopting the most impactful technologies.

The Date Fintech Show focused on fintech and artificial intelligence (AI) spheres, in addition to software solutions and cybersecurity, as stated by Shadi Dawi, Director of Public Relations and Strategic Partnerships for MEA at Trescon.

Moreover, the two-day event discussed the financial innovation standards in the Kingdom and connected global fintech experts, technology innovators, and startups with pre-qualified CFOs, CEOs, CTOs, Heads of Business Transformation, Chief Digital Officers, Heads of Innovation, government authorities, and fintech investors from Saudi Arabia.
