Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Velents, the Saudi AI-based hiring platform, closed a seed funding round led by A15, with participation from Nibras Capital, AUC Venture Lab, and several angel investors, a recent statement unveiled.
Velents is a data-driven AI-based hiring platform that is a hybrid of an applicant tracking system and assessments software that saves up to 80% of hiring time.
It automates the hiring process with advanced assessment tools including an applicant tracking system, AI screening assistant, personality assessment, code assessment, automated video interviews, live interviews, and a recruiting chatbot.
The investment vehicle will contribute to strengthening Velents’ critical network, investing in technology improvement and user experience, and scaling B2B business development efforts to solidify its market presence.
Mohamed Gaber, Co-founder and CEO of Velents, stated that the round will be dedicated to fueling Velents’ expansion in Saudi Arabia, working closely with government and ministries to achieve Vision 2030’s goals.
He added that closing the round is a testament to the urgent need and belief in Velents' mission to remove bias from the hiring process.
Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Co-founder and General Manager of Velents, commented: “Velents is forging a new path in the recruitment automation and assessment phase. The platform is also exploring expansion into sharing its API and expanding with government entities across the Middle East.”
He added that the platform is in talks with the governments of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar about deploying its AI tools to hire more efficiently.
