
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources launched a Mineral Innovation Acceleration Park, in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, and the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS), Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry, announced.
“This tangible step in creating the regional network center of excellence signals our commitment to deliver our goals,” Alkhorayef stated.
The Minister made these remarks during the ministerial roundtable of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2024 which gathers government ministers and trade delegations from 60 countries.
Running until 11 January, the FMF24 brings together senior government and industry representatives to create resilient and responsible mineral value chains in the super regions of Africa, Western and Central Asia.
The forum is expected to welcome over 13,000 in-person attendees and more than 250 high-profile international and regional speakers.
More than 60 government ministers and country delegations, along with 100 speakers and exhibitors will participate in the forum.
The FMF24 features more than 40 high-profile and strategic conference sessions to discuss various topics, such as developing a global critical mineral strategy, integrating centers of excellence into regional strategies, setting up a global transparent standard for mineral supply, and creating green metal value chains applying new technologies.
