
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim held several meetings with leaders of global companies on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024 that takes place in Davos from 15 to 19 January.
Alibrahim met with Todd Sisitsky, President and Co-Managing Partner of TPG Capital, to discuss how private equity firms and foreign investors can contribute to the growth opportunities, driven by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The minister held another meeting with Jakob Baruël Poulsen, Managing Partner of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, to explore potential areas of collaboration in renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
Alibrahim further met with Clare Woodman, Head of EMEA and CEO of Morgan Stanley & Co, to showcase Saudi Arabia’s growing capital market and discuss ways of attracting foreign direct investments (FDIs). The meeting was attended by Abdulaziz Alajaji, CEO of Morgan Stanley for Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, Alibrahim and Mohammed Aljadaan, Saudi Minister of Finance, met with Tom Donilon, Chairman of BlackRock Investment Institute, to discuss the role of private financing in recognizing the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
The meeting was attended by Charles Hatami, Senior Managing Director and the Global Head of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group (FSIG), and a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee.
A Saudi top-level delegation, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal Farhan is participating in the WEF Annual Meeting 2024 in Davos.
