Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The leading payment services provider PayTabs entered into a strategic partnership with Nearpay, the Saudi financial infrastructure technology company, to offer users an advanced soft point of sales (POS) payment experience.

In a statement, PayTabs affirmed that the collaboration with Nearpay will enhance the experience of merchants and customers using PayTabs Touch, a proprietary soft POS application, across the region including the MEPS FAST application in Jordan.

Under this partnership, PayTabs soft POS will be powered by Nearpay's state-of-the-art POS infrastructure by integrating Nearpay’s innovative 'Tap to Phone' technology into PayTabs Touch application.

PayTabs soft POS technology seamlessly turns smartphones and tablets into swift payment terminals and streamlines transactions by ditching bulky hardware and empowering businesses of all scales to effortlessly process card payments.

Eyad Musharbash, PayTabs Regional Head and Operating Partner for the Levant region, said: “We are excited to collaborate with Nearpay to introduce this elevated Soft POS experience to our users. The integration of 'Tap to Phone' technology into PayTabs Touch will not only streamline payment processes for businesses but also offer millions of customers a modern and secure payment option.”

For his part, Mohammad Aleban, CEO and Co-founder of Nearpay, stated that integrating ‘Tap to Phone’ technology into PayTabs Touch is “a game changer.”

He added that the partnership would streamline payments for businesses and offer users a modern and secure option.

“This collaboration sets new standards for contactless payments, reflecting Nearpay’s commitment to transforming the payments landscape,” Aleban said.

It is worth noting that PayTabs recently partnered with Fintech Galaxy to revolutionize the fintech industry in the GCC region and solidify its position as a key player in the scene.
