Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) signed several agreements with Saudi and global entities during the Global Smart City Forum 2024 that takes place in Riyadh from 12 to 13 February.
The deals included a cooperation agreement with Fira Barcelona International to organize the Global Smart City Forum
The agreement was signed by Hesham Banaser, CEO of the Field Initiatives at SDAIA, and Ricard Camps, CEO of Fira Barcelona International.
The authority also signed a memorandum of agreement (MoU) with the Al Madinah Region Development Authority to share experiences regarding strategies and public policies related to data, AI, and smart cities.
The MoU was inked by Sattam Alsubaiee, CEO of the Center of Excellence for Smart Cities at SDAIA, and Abdulrahman Ibrahim, Executive Director of Data and Innovation at Al Madinah Region Development Authority.
The MoU targets exchanging knowledge, technological, and technical consultations, and fostering research activities, in addition to discussing cooperation opportunities in providing technological services.
It also aims to develop human resources capabilities for organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Another MoU was signed between SDAIA and the Saudi Red Sea Authority to strengthen cooperation between both parties.
The MoU was signed by Nawaf Alsahan, Assistant to the National Information Center’s Director for Cloud Computing, and Khalid Althonyan, Vice President for Digital Transformation and IT at Red Sea Authority,
As per the agreement, both parties will join efforts to achieve government integration and commitment to cybersecurity standards for a safe digital technology environment.
The agreement further targets providing DEEM cloud services to enhance the infrastructure and enable digital transformation.
