Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with different local and global entities during the Global Smart City Forum 2024.
The data authority inked an MoU with FiWare Foundation to localize FIWARE technology and enhance professionalism in it to meet specific local needs, including language, culture, regulations, infrastructure, and skills.
Under this agreement, both parties will cooperate in exchanging experiences and developing regulations, standards, and roadmaps for digital transformation initiatives.
SDAIA signed another MoU with the Sharqia Development Authority to adopt smart city technologies in the Eastern Region.
The MoU targets providing technological services in common fields and sharing expertise related to strategies and public policies in the fields of data, AI, and smart cities.
Furthermore, SDAIA concluded an MoU with the Aseer Region Development Authority to establish a general cooperative framework in several fields and provide relevant technological services between both parties.
Another MoU was signed between SDAIA and Diriyah Company to qualify human cadres in the fields of AI, smart cities, privacy, and personal data protection.
SDAIA and Diriyah Company will work together to develop and operate educational and training initiatives, establish programs to develop the fields of AI and smart cities in Diriyah Company and provide technological consultations.
Moreover, the authority concluded an agreement with King Saud University and Hikvision to establish a center of excellence that contributes to maximizing the benefits of data and AI in achieving Vision 2030’s goals.
It is worth noting that SDAIA concluded another three deals with Fira Barcelona International, the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, and the Saudi Red Sea Authority.
