Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia issued over 8,500 foreign investment licenses in 2023, marking a 96% increase compared to around 4,440 in 2022, a recent report released by the National Transformation Program (NTP) revealed.

In 2023, Riyadh became an attractive investment destination for global investors, whereby over 200 companies obtained their licenses to open regional headquarters in the Kingdom.

The report stated that the Invest Saudi platform provided around 1,283 investment opportunities, prioritizing 15 strategic sectors based on their growth potential, including tourism and entertainment, communications and information technology, advanced industries, financial services, real estate, transportation and logistics services, and others.

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report 2022-2023, the Kingdom ranked second best economy for business, achieving the first place in four sub-indicators: ‘It is easy to start a business’; ‘Good opportunities to start a business in my area’; ‘Know someone who started a new business’; and ‘Personally have the skills and knowledge’.
