Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) inked a memorandum of understanding with IBM, the global technology company, to integrate the Alam model into IBM’s Watsonx platform.

The MoU was signed by Yaser Al-Onaizan, CEO of the National Center for AI at SDAIA, and Fahad Alanazi, General Manager of IBM Saudi Arabia, during LEAP 2024.

Integrating the Alam model into the Watsonx platform will enable tech organizations and startups in the Kingdom and beyond to develop groundbreaking applications based on generative AI.

LEAP 2024, the most-attended tech event in the world, takes place in Riyadh from 4 to 7 March to showcase government AI initiatives and the latest innovations.

Over 1,600 investors from more than 72 countries with combined assets under management (AUM) of $4.89 trillion are expected to participate in LEAP 2024.

It is worth noting that IBM announced establishing a global software lab in the Kingdom during LEAP 2024.
