UAE - Sharikat Mubasher: UAE topped the National Entrepreneurship Context Index (NECI) for the third consecutive year, with a 7.7 score, the highest ever recorded.

The '2023/2024 Global Report' released by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), stated that the UAE scored highest across the entire sample of 49 economies in all but one of the 13 Entrepreneurial Framework Conditions (EFCs).

The highest increases were for the Research and Development Transfers condition and for the Commercial and Professional Infrastructure condition, each improving its score from 6.8 to 7.8. The only condition with a score that fell was that of Physical Infrastructure.

The GEM 2023 report observed 49 economies and classified them into three groups: Level A, Level B, and Level C.

Level A group comprised economies with a gross domestic product (GDP) per capita of more than $50,000, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and others.

It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia ranked third in the NECI with a 6.3 score, following the UAE and India.
