
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Canoo, the leading high-tech advanced mobility company, signed a vehicle sales agreement with Jazeera Paints, a pioneering paint manufacturer, to enter Saudi Arabia’s electric vehicles (EVs) market, the company announced in a press release.
Under this agreement, Jazeera Paints will primarily purchase 20 Canoo’s LDV 130 and LDV 190 delivery vehicles into its fleet in 2024, with the option to expand up to 180 additional vehicles.
These electric commercial delivery vehicles are built on a proprietary multi-purpose platform with steer-by-wire technology.
Tony Aquila, Investor Executive Chairman and CEO of Canoo, stated that the partnership represents a key milestone in the company’s targeted geographic expansion to the Kingdom with a large and important fleet that is focused on deploying sustainable technologies across the fast-growing industry it serves.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Romaih, CEO of Jazeera Paints, affirmed that the agreement symbolizes the company’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly technologies and materials.
The partnership is expected to catalyze further innovation and collaboration between both parties, paving the way for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future in commercial transportation within the GCC and beyond.
