Dubai - Sharikat Mubasher: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unveiled the GCC Grand Tours visa, a new unified visa that allows travelers to visit all six Gulf countries and stay for more than 30 days.
The proposal was revealed by the UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdulla Al Marri during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM).
The official rollout date was not disclosed; however, the unified visa is forecasted to be operational by the end of 2024.
Inspired by the Schengen visa, the GCC Grand Tours visa aims to enhance tourism across the GCC countries and attract more tourists by simplifying the process of visiting multiple countries in the region.
This new visa is expected to contribute to increasing the number of hotel guests and transforming the GCC region into a leading destination for regional and global tourists.
The ATM 2024, a leading global event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East, took place from 6 to 9 May in Dubai gathering all travel professionals from around the world from leisure, MICE, luxury, and corporate travel sectors.
