
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s giga projects such as Neom, Roshn, Red Sea Global, Qiddiya, and Diriyah are estimated at around $880 billion, according to Ed James, Head of Content and Research for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region at MEED Global Data.
During his speech at the Saudi Giga Projects Summit 2024, James affirmed that these projects not only upgrade the national infrastructure but also play a crucial role in boosting the Kingdom’s economic transformation strategy.
He further noted that Saudi Arabia awarded contracts worth more than $100 billion in 2023, registering the highest-ever annual contract volume among the GCC countries.
The Saudi Giga Projects Summit 2024 took place on 13 May in Riyadh, gathering contractors, suppliers, thought leaders, and key stakeholders from across the region to share ideas, discuss challenges, and outline future project opportunities.
Participants had the chance to understand the massive potential of the Saudi projects market and connect with C-level executives at each of the project clients.
Over 150 companies participated in the summit to showcase their innovative products and solutions across various industries, including building materials, construction management platforms, cloud-based project controls, artificial intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT).
