Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Siemens EDA, a segment of Siemens Digital Industries Software, partnered with 18 universities in Saudi Arabia to exchange knowledge and empower semiconductor startups in the Kingdom, Ankur Gupta, General Manager and Vice President of Siemens EDA, unveiled.
The technology leader in software and hardware for electronic design automation (EDA) aims to enable startups with the necessary tools and knowledge and empower students with Siemens’ product licenses, Gupta said in an interview with Asharq Business on the sidelines of the Future of Semiconductors Forum 2024.
Gupta stated that Siemens is dedicated to bringing its knowledge, people, and products to the Kingdom to accelerate the Saudization vision.
He further emphasized the company’s commitment to the Saudi Semiconductor Program (SSP).
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia launched a deep tech venture capital fund to bolster the semiconductor industry in the Kingdom.
The Future of Semiconductors Forum 2024 took place on 5 and 6 June to discuss the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and explore localization opportunities within Saudi Arabia.
