Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Egyptian artificial intelligence (AI) startup DXwand is set to open a local office in Riyadh after obtaining a license from the Saudi Ministry of Investment (MISA), CEO Ahmed Mahmoud revealed.

DXwand is scheduled to open the Riyadh office by mid-year, Mahmoud stated in an interview with Arab News.

DXwand specializes in large language models (LLM), knowledge mining, and omnichannel conversational AI. Its AI-powered software automates text and voice conversations between customers and businesses, as well as different citizen-facing government services across various platforms, including call centers, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, SMS, and websites.

Mahmoud noted that DXwand aims to solidify its distinguished position in technology and long-term aspirations in partnerships.

“That objective is planned to be achieved with local partners, in technology and other industries, to ensure our success. We already have several partners in place in Saudi, and our plan is to multiply this number by the end of 2024,” Mahmoud elaborated.

He noted that the company’s expansion plan aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030’s economic diversification and digital transformation goals.

“Collaboration with the Saudi government is a key cornerstone to deliver our expansion vision, and we are in the process of identifying potential collaboration areas of focus and concerned government entities,” Mahmoud said.

This collaboration is expected to support DXwand’s alignment with Saudi Arabia’s evolving regulatory environment.

Moreover, Mahmoud emphasized that expanding to Saudi Arabia is crucial for DXwand’s strategy due to factors like alignment with Vision 2030, market opportunities, and government support.
