Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi National Housing Company (NHC) signed an agreement with the Korean tech giant Naver to enhance smart city solutions in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majed Al Hogail, Chairman of NHC Ihab Hashani, and representatives of the Korean company, according to NHC's statement.
The deal aims to integrate digital twin technology into the Balabi platform, leveraging Naver’s advanced cloud system. This integration will facilitate the development of innovative digital solutions in major cities across the Kingdom, including 3D maps, simulation models for urban planning and flood management, and monitoring and control centers.
It further targets enhancing digital potential to develop and operate digital government platforms in the Kingdom.
This partnership underscores NHC’s commitment to advancing smart city development, in alignment with Vison's 2030 goals of modernizing the Saudi real estate sector and adopting innovative solutions to enhance urban management and infrastructure efficiency.
Commenting on the partnership, Al Hogail stated that it paves the way for innovation in digital solutions.
This agreement builds on Naver’s first entry into Saudi Arabia in 2023 by partnering with the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Housing to use its systems.
