Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The startup sector in the MENA region broke a record within the 1st three weeks of August, raising over $63.1 million of funds collectively across 22 deals.
Resal, a Saudi-based digital cards and gifting platform, raised $9M in funding from Derayah Ventures, Al-Wafrah AlThanya Investment Company, Venture Souq FinTech Fund, ADDiriyah Asset Management, Nomad Holdings, Bugshan Investment Group, as well as family offices and angel investors, according to a report by Digital Digest.
Yalla Plus, a Saudi F&B saas startup, raised $2.7M in seed funding led by Merak Capital and joined by Khwarizmi Ventures, Isometry Capital, and angel investors. Mithu, also a Saudi loyalty platform, raised $500k in a pre-seed funding round from Adaverse.
Resquad AI, Saudi-based talent Saas, raised $320k (1.2M SAR) in pre-seed funding from angel investors. HeroGo!, foodtech from UAE, raised funding from AngelSpark (UAE), with value undisclosed.
NoorNation, Egypt-based climate tech, raised a funding round from KBW Ventures, value also was undisclosed. While Tajweed, Bahraini edtech for Quran and Arabic, and Travilege (Bahrain) ERP platform for travel agencies, raised funding from Tenmou, with value again undisclosed.
