Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Jahez, a leading delivery company in Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of the first electric delivery vehicle in the Kingdom as part of its move towards more sustainable transportation solutions.

Hamad Albakr, the company's Chief Business Officer, Board Member, and the founder of the Jahez app, revealed to Asharq that this initiative is part of Jahez's strategy to reduce carbon emissions and enhance the efficiency of its logistics operations.

The executive explained that Jahez aims to convert 25% of its fleet to electric vehicles by 2026. He emphasized that this shift not only aligns with global trends towards renewable energy and electric mobility but also reflects the company's long-term vision to cut operational costs and improve customer experience. Jahez sees this transition as both an environmental initiative and a strategic business move to stay ahead of industry trends.

This development comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is undergoing a significant shift toward clean energy and sustainable development, in line with Vision 2030, which seeks to reduce reliance on oil and promote innovation across various sectors, including transportation. The CEO noted that Jahez is also exploring other technological solutions to optimize delivery operations, with a focus on artificial intelligence and smart mobility technologies.

As part of its ambitious plans, Jahez intends to expand the use of electric vehicles across different regions of the Kingdom. The company is currently working on strengthening its infrastructure to support this initiative by building charging stations and partnering with strategic players to provide technical and logistical support.

This initiative marks a new step towards a more sustainable future in Saudi Arabia's delivery sector, reflecting the growing shift of companies towards innovation and environmental responsibility.

Jahez International Company, founded in 2016, is a leading Saudi on-demand delivery platform connecting users with restaurants and retailers. Known for rapid growth and innovation, it was among the first Saudi startups to go public. Jahez focuses on sustainability, recently integrating electric vehicles into its delivery fleet.
