Cairo - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Trase, a software as a service (SaaS) company specializing in contractors’ workforce management, plans to close a $3 million funding round during the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, CEO and Founder Rowan Alawi told Sharikat Mubasher.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Egypt PropTech Challenge 2024, Alawi stated that the company’s targeted clients include construction companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
She highlighted Trase’s aspirations to digitize the construction sector as it is one of the most promising sectors that relies on leading-edge technologies.
Trase is a business-to-business (B2B) company that started operations in Egypt in 2024 in collaboration with Dar Al-Handasah and the PropTex acceleration program.
The CEO clarified that almost 98% of construction projects in the world face delivery delays for around 20 months due to the lack of accurate data by 40%, which thereby leads to an increase in the project’s budget.
Trase aims to tackle these challenges by connecting construction sites with the company’s offices to boost construction works and digitizing project management and tracking to help companies save time and money.
Alawi further noted that Trase has three applications to serve the laborers, supervisors, and engineers, empowering them to create reports and dashboards to accelerate the decision-making process.
Finally, the CEO said that Trase plans to provide more AI-powered services in 2025 to help companies make data-driven decisions.
The Egypt PropTech Challenge 2024 was launched by PropTex, the first property technology (proptech) acceleration program in the MENA region, in partnership with Cityscape Egypt, the largest real estate exhibition.
The 13th edition of Cityscape Egypt took place from 25 to 28 September with the participation of over 80 developers and more than 40,000 attendees.
