Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has been actively working to attract global tech giants as part of its broader economic transformation under Vision 2030. To achieve this, the Kingdom invested heavily in upgrading digital infrastructure, fostering innovation, and creating regulatory frameworks that foster technology-driven businesses.

Google Cloud, the global tech giant providing a series of modular cloud services, celebrated the grand opening of its new office in Riyadh, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, a recent statement unveiled.

The opening ceremony was attended by several officials, including Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, Google Cloud's Managing Director for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, and Bader Almadi, General Manager for Saudi Arabia at Google.

The Riyadh office will serve as a central hub for Google’s operations in Saudi Arabia, driving innovation and supporting the growth of the technology ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on this achievement, Almadi said: “We will continue to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and experimentation, encouraging the development of new ideas and solutions that address local and global challenges.”

He added that the new office will allow the company to actively collaborate with local and global partners to strengthen the technology infrastructure with its powerful artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities.

Almadi further clarified that the Riyadh office will embody the core values of Google’s culture with a focus on customer centricity, innovation, and teamwork.

It is worth noting that the Kingdom licensed over 500 global companies to open their regional headquarters in Riyadh during the first half of 2024.
