Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone Company (SILZ) signed a strategic partnership agreement with Sapphire, a strategic investment of Alat, to establish a state-of-the-art light manufacturing facility at Riyadh Integrated, the Kingdom’s first Special Integrated Logistics Free Zone.
Set to be completed in 2025, the new facility will span a gross floor area of 40,000 square meters, a recent statement revealed.
This partnership, concluded during the Global Logistics Forum 2024, focuses on manufacturing enabling technologies for the automation of advanced industrial applications.
Fadi AlBuhairan, CEO of SILZ, said: “This partnership aligns with our mission and commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 and the drive to spur economic growth and diversification, create quality jobs, and position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub.”
On his part, Amit Midha, CEO of Alat, commented: “This is an important milestone for Alat as we are moving towards establishing manufacturing operations in our quest to create a world-class hub for electronics and advanced industrials in Saudi Arabia.”
Moreover, the new facility will enhance Sapphire’s capabilities in the region, acting as a strategic manufacturing base in the Middle East.
