Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Improving the quality of life is one of the primary goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Under this initiative, the Kingdom launched the Quality of Life (QOL) program in 2018 to enhance the living standards and well-being of Saudi citizens and residents.

In an interview with Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of Biban 2024, QOL’s CEO Khalid Albaker showcased the program’s efforts to enhance several sectors in the Kingdom, notably entertainment, culture, tourism, sports, and urban development.

To bolster these sectors, the QOL launched the Tourism Development Fund (TDF), the Cultural Development Fund, and the Furas platform that provides investors access to thousands of investment opportunities, Albaker clarified.

He added that the program hosted several events to revolutionize the Saudi sports sector such as the Italian and Spanish leagues, Super Globe, Dakar Rally, Formula 1, and more.

The official further highlighted the program’s strategic partnerships with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to promote the entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia, ultimately offering significant opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Moreover, Albaker hailed the government's effort to organize an exceptional edition of Biban to empower entrepreneurs.

The QOL targets creating an adequate environment to support and develop new options that enhance individual and community participation in cultural, recreational, and sports activities

Biban 2024, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), convened in Riyadh from 5 to 9 November, with the participation of more than 1,350 local and international exhibitors, over 250 speakers, and more than 150 enablement entities from around the world.

It targeted creating a stimulating environment, raising administrative, financial, and technical competencies, and motivating the owners of ideas to launch their projects by allowing them to meet with local and global experts and share knowledge with key decision-makers and investors.

The event focused on empowering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Saudi Arabia through nine doors: Enablement Door, Fast-growing Enterprises Door, Funding and Investment Door, Startup Door, Innovation Door, E-commerce Door, Franchise Door, Market Door, and Start Door.
