Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: The first-ever Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN) Forum launched at the American University in Cairo on the 17th of November, under the theme "Synergy in Action: Inspiring Inclusive Impact."

This groundbreaking event brings together Egyptian women entrepreneurs as role models and highlights the importance of networks in fostering inclusive growth within the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, according to a recent press release.

The forum features prominent women leaders sharing personal success stories to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs. Among the distinguished speakers are May Mahmoud, General Director of the Women Business Development Center, Dalia Ibrahim, board member of WEN and Chairwoman of Dar Nahdet Misr Publishing House, and actress and entrepreneur Bushra Rozza.

Opening speeches by Noha Abdel Hamid, co-founder of WEN, and Hala Barakat, Director of the AUC Center for Entrepreneurship, emphasized the critical role of partnerships and policies that empower women in business.

Abdel Hamid said: "At WEN, we firmly believe in the power of women’s stories. The journeys of these leaders—shaped by their unique visions and the challenges they’ve triumphed over—are powerful sources of inspiration for others. They show us that success is not reserved for a select few, but achievable for all. Our mission is to empower female entrepreneurs, whether through strategic partnerships with the private sector, sharing crucial technical resources, or expanding networks that open the door to real opportunities. We want every successful woman to be a beacon of possibility for others—whether it’s by encouraging collaboration, making access to funding easier, or driving innovation through technology."

The forum, supported by sponsors like EdVentures and Arabize, is part of WEN’s ongoing mission to support women-led businesses in Egypt. WEN, founded in 2018 and officially registered in 2023, has become a vital force in promoting women’s entrepreneurship, with backing from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
