Dubai - Sharikat Mubasher: Better, the first men’s wellness startup in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, secured $550,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Salica Spring Studios’ fund, with participation from Salica Investments, Al Waha Fund of Funds, and Plus VC (+VC).
In a statement, the startup revealed that it will utilize the investment to expand its offerings, including the introduction of customized prescription medication and supplements for men.
Founded by Walid Dib and Hassanain Anver, the Dubai-based Better aims to enhance men’s physical health through a range of proprietary supplements, compounded prescriptions, and personalized solutions.
“Since our launch just a month ago, there has been a significant surge in demand for our products which has resulted in many clients signing up with Better,” Dib said.
On his part, Hasan Haider, Managing Partner at +VC, commented: “With its unique personalized approach, Better is a powerful solution that will help address these issues, which is not otherwise available in the region. Investing in Better aligns with +VC’s strategy of supporting ambitious and aspiring founders.”
It is worth mentioning that Better runs on a subscription model and develops its prescription products in the UAE to provide effective and customized alternatives to traditional treatments.
