Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: NesmaKent Energy Company (NKJV), a joint venture between Nesma & Partners (N&P) and Kent, secured a strategic contract with Aramco to lead the inauguration of phase one of the National EPC Champion Initiative.
The inaugural seed project under this agreement focuses on enhancing water handling facilities in the South Ghawar Area, a critical initiative aligned with Aramco’s long-term corporate strategy, leveraging NesmaKent’s expertise in EPCM services, advanced execution technologies, and operational efficiency, the company announced in a statement today.
This milestone marks the commencement of the first Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract, reinforcing NesmaKent’s role as a key partner in advancing Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure.
Aramco’s National EPC Champion Program aims to support a growing, sustainable national economy by creating jobs and contributing to the Kingdom’s GDP. Through this initiative, NesmaKent will bring significant value to the project by streamlining the transition from the design basis scoping paper (DBSP) to the front-end engineering design (FEED) stage; enhancing operational excellence and risk management; and accelerating knowledge transfer and national workforce development.
NesmaKent will also deploy advanced execution technologies, develop sustainability solutions, and boost supply chain efficiency and regional expansion.
Ahmad Hamadah, General Manager at NesmaKent, stated that the partnership with Aramco reflects the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
“With a combination of local market knowledge and world-class engineering expertise, we are not only delivering projects but actively shaping the future of Saudi Arabia’s energy sector,” Hamadah added.
Moreover, the contract reaffirms NesmaKent Energy’s leadership in integrated EPCM services, further solidifying its role as a trusted partner in advancing industrial excellence, sustainability, and technological innovation in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
