
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Airbus Defence and Space announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cluster2 Airports Company at the 2025 Paris Air Show to deliver advanced digital solutions aimed at improving airport efficiency, safety, and collaboration across Saudi Arabia.
As per a recent press release, the signing ceremony was attended by several senior figures, including Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); Wouter Van Wersch, Executive Vice President of Airbus International; Gabriel Semelas, President of Airbus in the Middle East and Africa; and Saad A. Alajlan, General Manager of Commercial Operations and Business Development at Cluster2.
As part of the agreement, Airbus will deploy its Agnet Turnaround platform—an intelligent system that enables real-time coordination of airport operations. The technology is expected to help Cluster2 streamline workflows, improve on-time performance, and elevate passenger experience across its 22 international and domestic airports.
Antoun Farra, Managing Director of Airbus Defence and Space in Saudi Arabia, said the partnership highlights Airbus’s commitment to advancing digital innovation in aviation. He noted that Agnet Turnaround will contribute to building smarter and more connected airports in line with the Kingdom’s transportation goals.
Badr Al-Dalami, Chief Executive Officer of Cluster2, stated that airports are critical gateways to the Kingdom and that digital transformation remains a central pillar of Cluster2’s strategy. He emphasized that the collaboration with Airbus will strengthen safety, improve response times, and unify operations across the airport network.
