Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Qwacks, a Saudi gaming technology startup, announced securing SAR 1.8 million in a pre-seed round led by Merak Capital.
As per the company’s press release, the funding will enable Qwacks to expand its technology layer, deepen integrations across its products, and onboard more studios in Saudi Arabia and the wider region, where demand for developer-focused infrastructure is growing as the Kingdom shifts from gaming consumption to game production.
Founded in 2024, Qwacks is developing a unified platform that supports the full lifecycle of game creation.
Abdulelah Alsharif, Merak Capital’s Vice President, said the company is filling a clear gap in the ecosystem and contributing to the Kingdom’s broader ambitions for the sector.
Anas Alsahli, Qwacks CEO and Co-founder, described the investment as a major step toward accelerating platform development and giving studios tools that reduce friction, shorten production cycles, and support higher-quality game creation.
