Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources signed an agreement with King Khalid University (KKU) to foster innovators in the industrial and mining sectors.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Aldughaim, General Manager of Innovation at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Hamed AlQarni, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at KKU, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

As part of the agreement, King Khalid University will provide innovators with groundbreaking services under the Industrial and Mining Innovation Program (IMIP), following the best standards and practices across different phases of innovation, starting from ideation and intellectual property registration to developing business models and production. The university will also offer innovation-related consultancy sessions, workshops, and seminars.

The deal aligns with IMIP’s objectives of empowering innovation in industry and mining sectors, enhancing their competitiveness, and maximizing their contribution to diversifying the Kingdom’s economy.
