Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: LAB7, the venture-building arm of Saudi Aramco, announced a strategic partnership and investment in US-based climate technology startup Homeostasis, reinforcing its focus on supporting disruptive technologies that advance sustainability and the circular economy.
Through the partnership, LAB7 will support the development and scaling of a technology that converts captured carbon dioxide into synthetic graphite, a critical input for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems, as per a recent press release.
The collaboration aligns with LAB7’s strategy of backing technologies that turn environmental challenges into industrial opportunities. By enabling the transformation of CO₂ emissions into high-value materials, the initiative supports lower-carbon manufacturing pathways while strengthening supply options for battery materials.
LAB7’s involvement will focus on improving production efficiency and accelerating market readiness, positioning the technology for industrial deployment. The partnership reflects LAB7’s broader role in fostering innovation that links energy transition goals with practical, scalable solutions.
